With this, I need to plan a wonderful honeymoon. I am running low on ideas. I want to do something really unique. I am at the mercy of wonderful people who will lend me their advise on what worked and what did not work. I don't know if I want to go on a cruise, go to the Bahamas or the traditional route with Hawaii. All I know is that my fiancee wants to be warm. So with that my only limitation, besides a sensible budget, I need some help. They are a Christian band that doesn't have the typical Christian sound. They have an acoustic rock sound that is awesome to hear live in concert. I did FOH sound for them earlier in November, and it was a blast. Their show was full of energy. You can listen to some of their tracks on their website. There's also a tour date list, but they had to cancel the show here in Kansas City. That was really unfortunate because I was really looking forward to seeing the guys and hearing them again. Matt Wertz is one of the most talented, up and coming musicians today. Check out his site and listen to some of his tunes. Matt's music is really authentic and energetic. Just like all the new artists, they rely on people getting out there and spreading the word about their music. I have had the privilege of working with Matt on a couple of occasions, he is defiantly someone who has a great chance of making it big. I just hope he remembers me then. These past few days of finals have really just racked my brain. Anyone else out there taking finals right now? If you are, best of luck. I wish there was a better way, implemented, to test for comprehension of knowledge. All to often, the information that is poured into our heads, leaks right out after finals are over. What is the point, I ask then? I don't know. Maybe someone can enlighten me. I just think that education should be more practical. More like John Dewey's approach. Anyone know what I am talking about. John Dewey started a school in Chicago, in the 1950s, that taught elementary aged students with hands on lessons. The teacher was just a guide that helped the students as they searched for the best answer. In all of their searching, they studied and learned about all the basic subjects: math, science, language arts and history. I'm pretty sure that those students actually retained some of the Real Life lessons that they learned. But, parents never really accepted the idea of Dewey's Pragmatic school and it soon closed down. Too bad, I say. I would love to attend a college like that. Any response?

B

Bee's on the Loose

Here is an A.P. article that was kind of funny, check it out:

Millions of bees spilled on Vegas freewayAssociated Press
LAS VEGAS - A truck carrying 12 million honeybees hit a wall on a highway ramp, dumping its load across the pavement shortly before the evening rush hour.
The truck was carrying 480 bee colonies, each with 25,000 insects, to California to pollinate the state's almond crop when it struck the wall Wednesday afternoon.
The collision spilled the bees and gallons of honey onto the highway and forced troopers to close the southbound ramp between Interstate 15 and U.S. Highway 95 for more than four hours.
State police believe the driver lost control on the curving ramp.
Authorities summoned beekeepers to help but decided capturing the bees alive would take too much time and money. Firefighters doused the insects with water to kill them.
"We're talking millions of bees," said Don Grogan, owner of Sedona Honey Co. in Las Vegas, who was helping with the cleanup.
